Personal Data We Collect
Calculator Inputs — None
All calculations on The Fifth C are performed entirely client-side in your browser using JavaScript. When you enter a salary, age, property price, or any other value into our calculators, that data is processed locally on your device and is never sent to our servers. We cannot see what you enter. We do not log, store, or transmit any calculation inputs.
Contact Enquiries
If you email us at hello@thefifthc.sg, we will receive your email address and the content of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and will not add you to any mailing list or share it with third parties without your consent.
Cookies and Tracking
Google Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic — which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and what devices and browsers are used. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this data. The information collected is anonymised and aggregated; it does not identify individual visitors. Data Retention
Since we do not collect personal data through the calculators, there is no personal data to retain. Email enquiries sent to hello@thefifthc.sg are retained for as long as necessary to respond and resolve any follow-up questions, and then deleted. Analytics data collected by Google Analytics is subject to Google's own data retention policies.
No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to any third parties. We do not share personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other commercial parties. Any external links on the site may set their own cookies if you click through, but we do not pass any personal data to external sites ourselves.
PDPA Compliance
We operate in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Since our calculators are fully client-side and we collect minimal personal data (limited to voluntary email enquiries), our PDPA obligations are limited. However, we are committed to the PDPA principles of:
- Consent: We only collect email data when you voluntarily contact us
- Purpose limitation: We use email data only to respond to your enquiry
- Access and correction: You may request access to or correction of any personal data we hold about you by emailing hello@thefifthc.sg
- Protection: Any personal data held is kept securely
